Initrd crypto error

I don't know how initramfs works but....

Looking in /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks it seems that bin/gpg is included
with the cryptgnugpg hook but that is not a prereq for anything.

Mandos has a prereq for cryptroot but that doesn't refer to cryptgnugpg

Is that an issue or am I just mis-understanding?
